Frequently Asked Questions

Why does it take 2-3 weeks to receive my item?

All Una Wild pieces are made by hand in a studio. Some heavier pieces in silver (such as bangles) will also need to be sent off for hallmarking and this is a legal requirement. Gold items also need to be sent off for hallmarking.

How do I return my item?

If you are not happy with your Una Wild item please contact me within 14 days of delivery and send your items back within 30 days of delivery.  unawildjewellery@gmail.com

You are responsible for the safe return of your item. This means that the return postage will be at your cost. If an item is not returned in its original condition the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.  The buyer is responsible if the item is lost during return transit. Therefore, Una Wild recommends using a trackable shipping service, such as Royal Mail Special Delivery. You must take care to package the item carefully to ensure that it is not damaged during transit.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused and in its original packaging. To start a return, you can contact me at  unawildjewellery@gmail.com and explain why you would like to return the item.
Please note that returns will need to be sent to the following address: 83 Parc an Creet, St Ives, TR26 2ES.

You can always contact us for any return question at  unawildjewellery@gmail.com.

What if my item is faulty or damaged?

Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact me immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you have received the wrong item.  If items do arrive damaged or faulty please let me know within 5 working days and arrange to post them back to me via a signed for postal service. If you do not contact me within 5 days I will have no liability for items said to be damaged or faulty on delivery. I want you to be overjoyed with your Una Wild piece so don’t hesitate to get in touch so that I can determine if something has gone awry.

Una Wild jewellery is precious, as all handmade jewellery is, and it should be treated as such. Pulling hard on your necklace chain, bashing your rings against rough surfaces and yanking on earrings will cause damage to your beloved pieces.

Do you offer exchanges?

Una Wild does not offer exchanges. You will have to return your original item and place a new order for the item that you do want.

Do you do commissions?

I’m afraid that I do not currently have the capacity to offer commissions or personalised pieces.

Why is Solid 9ct Gold much more expensive than 22ct Gold Plate?

Solid 9ct Gold is real gold and the entire item is made using this metal. Gold is very expensive for me to purchase and the cost of the material is, therefore, reflected in the price. The good news is that 9ct gold retains its value and I hope that your solid gold pieces become heirlooms for you.

22ct Gold plate is essentially a layer of gold painted on to the jewellery piece to give the appearence of gold without the price tag. All our gold plating is on top of solid silver, rather than a base metal (such as brass) meaning that as and when the gold plate wears the piece will still look nice.

Yes, gold plate will wear, but we can offer a replating service - get in touch to discuss a quote.

How do I find out my ring size?

You can order ring sizers cheaply online, just ensure that you have bought a UK ring sizer, which use an Alphabet system. Alternatively, you can go into a jewellers and have your finger measured.

Each of your fingers will be a different size and the right hand will be different then the left. Please bear in mind that our fingers fluctuate in size depending on the weather / room temperature. In a hot environment our fingers will expand and in cold conditions they will contract. Therefore, it would be ideal if you could measure your finger at various intervals throughout the day for a more accurate reading.

Can you resize my ring?

Yes, I will resize your Una Wild ring. The first time I resize your ring is free and any time after that is £20 per go. You are responsible for the return postage.

Is there a colour difference between your solid 9ct gold pieces and your 22ct gold plated items?

Yes there is. Solid 9ct Gold is much more subtle in colour, much like and antique or brushed gold and 22ct gold plate is very vibrant and leaning towards yellow.

Please see example below.
